Can I use my WhatsApp number with an eSIM?

Yes, most eSIM devices support dual SIM functionality, allowing you to continue using WhatsApp and your primary number without interruption. Using an eSIM will not affect your conversations or contacts, as it is only used for data.

Is it necessary to activate data roaming on my device?

Yes, all eSIMs are for roaming only, so you’ll need to enable data roaming for the best coverage after setting up your ICY eSIM.

How can I access my eSIM after deleting or losing it?

The QR and activation code are available in the app and sent to you via email. If needed, you can also request a code through customer support, online chat.

How will I get my eSIM?

Your eSIM is available instantly in the app and sent to you via email. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app or email to install the eSIM.

Can I use eSIM on my iPhone?

Yes, iPhones from the Xs onward support eSIM, but your device must be carrier-unlocked. Some devices from Mainland China or Hong Kong only support physical SIMs and don’t support eSIM. To confirm, go to Settings > Mobile Service and check if there’s an ‘Add eSIM’ option.

Can I use eSIM on my Android phone?

Can I use a physical SIM and eSIM at the same time?

Yes, you can use an eSIM and a physical SIM simultaneously. If your device supports eSIM, you can choose which SIM to use as the primary for calls and texts, and which one for data. Both will work at the same time.

How can I check how much data is left on my plan?

Yes, log in and go to ‘My eSIMs’ to see all your previous eSIMs and the remaining data on your current eSIM.

What is a good time to set up eSIM?

You should install your eSIM before departure. While installation can be done after you arrive, you’ll need Wi-Fi to complete the setup, so it’s best to do it before you leave. Activate data when you arrive at your destination; it will start working immediately, and data consumption will begin from that point.

Does ICY eSIM offer high-speed internet?

You can connect to 4G LTE, and 5G speeds similar to local data lines. However, if you’re traveling to remote locations, you might experience poor coverage.

How do I top up my eSIM?

Top up options will be offered soon. Currently, we will notify you when your data plan is about to end, so you can purchase a new eSIM. Since, the eSIM is data only, the experience will stay the same

My trip got canceled, can I get a refund?

 If your trip is canceled or you purchase an eSIM without verifying device compatibility, you can request a refund within 30 days. Processing may take 5 to 10 days. For cancellation, please contact Customer Support for more information.

How do you set up eSIM?
  1. Make a purchase on the ICY website.
  2. Check the App for QR code.
  3. Go to Settings > Mobile/Cellular Data > Add Data Plan.
  4. Scan the QR code.
  5. Set up a name for the data plan.
  6. Switch between eSIM and physical SIM.
  7. Upon arrival, turn on data roaming and activate ICY data plan.
How long does my data plan last?

You start using your data plan as soon as you activate data roaming at your destination. If you purchased a 30-day plan, you’ll have 30 days of data starting from when you activate your eSIM at the destination (not from when you install it).

Can I call and send SMS with ICY eSIM?

ICY eSIM provides data only, allowing you to use iMessage, WhatsApp, or similar apps for messaging and calls. We don’t currently support traditional text and calls, but we plan to launch these features soon.

Notice: Device compatibility also varies from country to country. eSIM on the iPhone is not offered on the mainland of China. For example, iPhones XS, XS Max, and XR sold in China, Macau, and Hong Kong are not eSIM compatible (dual SIM phones with two physical SIM slots).

Your device must be unlocked and the iOS version must be updated to 14.1 or newer. You can check with your carrier to see if there is anything you can do to unlock the eSIM in your device.
